"My name is Andriana and I am the owner of Melisses.
The most common question asked about my florist is, 'Why is it named Melisses?' When I was little, my grandad always called me his 'Meli', which means honey in Greek. Melisses which translates to 'bees', feels like a perfect fit, in his memory.
The flower in my Melisses logo is a Chrysanthemum. It was my gran's favourite flower and she thought that they were beautiful and loved the way they bloomed. She would always say that Chrysanthemums reminded her of my grandad's name, Chrysanthos.
So, 'Melisses' is a little piece of them both. A name that holds the heart of my grandparents and the inspiration behind my florist."
